Astilbe 'Key West'     Height 12".  Blooms: Mid-Late Summer.  Zones 4-9.  Arching carmine fragrant red plumes with dark burgundy foliage.  Produces twice the flowers of an average astilbe.  Use as a small-scale ground cover.

Canna 'Lucifer'     Height 24-36".  Blooms: Summer.  Dwarf with bright yellow and orange-red flowers.  Great for the mid border.  A summer-blooming bulb.

Coreopsis 'Full Moon'     Height 24-30".  Blooms: July-Frost.  Zones 5-8.  Being introduced as the first plant in the Big Bang™ series.  Exhibits disease-resistant foliage that is topped with hundreds of up to 3" canary-yellow flowers.  Medium-textured foliage.  Long-blooming flowers.  Easy to grow and drought tolerant.

Coreopsis 'Redshift'     Height 30-36".  Blooms: Late summer-Fall.  Zones 4-8.  Flowers have deep red centers, lighten to cream, and streaks of red towards the outer edges.  Flowers become red in cooler temperatures.

Crocosmia 'Emberglow'     Height 24-36".  Blooms: Summer.  Zones 5-9.  Long-lasting scarlet-red flowers rise above the distinctive sword-like foliage.  this shorter variety is great for the front of a perennial border.  Stiking in mass plantings.  Excellent cut flower.

Crocosmia 'George Davidson'     Height 16".  Blooms: Mid-summer.  Zones 5-9.  Graceful, long-lasting soft-orange flowers are 3" wide and rise above the distinctive sword-like foliage.  Dwarf variety suited for containers and low borders.  Striking in mass plantings.  Excellent cut flower.

Echinacea 'After Midnight'     Height 12".  Blooms: Summer-Late Summer.  Zones 4-8.  Distinctive new dwarf coneflower with fragrant, dark magenta-purple flowers and black-red cone.  Blooms presented upon black stems above blue-green foliage.  Well-branched and compact.

Echinacea 'Red Knee High'     Height 24".  Blooms: Mid-summer-Fall.  Zones 3-9.  Unique for its short habit and long summer bloom.  Great cut or dried.  Extremely adaptable for drought, heat, and poor soil.

Fallopia japonica 'Variegata'     Height 48".  Blooms: Late summer.  Zones 4-9.  Stunning green leaves splashed with white on electric red stems.  New growth is bright coral, and delicate spikes bear white flowers.  Plants remain controlled and do not run.

Hemerocallis 'Fire King'     Height 30".  Blooms: Midsummer.  Zones 3-9.  Brilliant orange, heavily ruffled blooms are 5.5" wide.  Sets the garden ablaze in color.

Hemerocallis 'Spacecoast Scrambled'     Height 18-24".  Blooms: Early-Mid Season.  Zones 3-9.  Cream-yellow blend to gold edge.  Grows best in well-drained soil.  Excellent for mass plantings and container growing.

Hemerocallis 'Wild Horses'     Height 24-36".  Blooms:  Early season.  Zones 3-9.  Creamy yellow petals with a black-purple throat.  Rebloomer.  Recurved sepals give this daylily uniqueness.

Heuchera 'Blackout'     Height 6".  Blooms: Mid summer.  Zones 4-9.  Creamy white flowers contrast beautifully with dark foliage.  Prefers rich, loamy, moist, well-drained soil.  Easy to grow in full sun as long as adequate moisture is provided.

Heuchera x villosa 'Midnight Rose'     Height 24".  Blooms: Summer.  Zones 4-9.  Compact plant with incredible black foliage covered in hot pink spots in spring.  Leaves lighten in summer with cream and pink spots.  Incredible foliage makes up for insignificant flowers.

Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'     Height 6".  Blooms: Early summer.  Zones 3-8.  A mutation of Hosta 'Blue Cadet' that makes a 1' wide mound of small, round, blue-green leaves.  Short spikes of lavender flowers in early summer.  The 2008 Hosta of the Year.  A collector's hosta!

Hosta 'Earth Angel'     Height 16-24".  Blooms: Mid summer.  Zones 3-9.  Pale lavender flowers appear on 40" scapes.  Large, heart-shaped, blue-green leaves with wide, creamy-white margins.  An excellent variety, nicely edged with pointed leaves.  The 2009 Hosta of the Year.

Hosta 'Flemish Sky'     Height 12".  Blooms: Mid summer.  Zones 3-9.  Highly vigorous, thickly textured blue to light blue leaves.  Distinctively pointed and nicely veined leaves.  Rippled edges.  Pale lavender flowers.  Good size for borders, edgings, and mass plantings.

Hosta 'Praying Hands'     Height 10-18".  Blooms:  Mid summer.  Zones 3-9.  Upright, dark green narrow heavily rippled leaves with gold margins resembling hands folded in prayer.  Leaves have a matte finish above, but are folded, revealing shiny undersides.  Lavender flowers.

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Alpenglow'     Height 48-60"  Blooms: Summer-Fall.  Zones 5-9.  Lush green leaves tinted burgundy with large, crimson-red flat mophead flowers at get up to 8" in diameter.  Plant in neutral pH soil.  Prune right after blooming.  Plant in south facing, wind protected area.

Iris germanica 'Yaquina Blue'     Height 37".  Blooms: Mid season.  Zones 3-10.  Abundance of ruffles.  Rich blue tones.  Extremely vigorous.  Dykes Medal Winner 1991.

Ligularia 'Britt Marie Crawford'     Height 3-4'.  Blooms: August-September.  Zones 3-9.  The broad, glossy, dark chocolaty-purple leaves make an extremely bold statement in the garden.  Golden orange daisy-like flowers.  Very unusual.

Lily - Asiatic - 'Elodie'     Height 48".  Pollen free!  Exotic pink blooms.  Elegant beauty producing many blooms.  Great cut flower.

Lily - Oriental - 'Starfighter'  Height 36".  Fragrant.  Most popular lily worldwide.  Outward facing blooms, slightly recurved, of bold lipstick red with a white border.  Produces 4-5 flowers per stem.

Muhlenbergia capillaris     Height 24-36".  Blooms: Late summer-Fall.  Zones 6-11.  Tidy clumps of very fine blue foliage provide color and texture.  Late summer or fall plant explodes into blooms with clouds of airy pink blooms that last for weeks.  Native plant.  Drought tolerant.

Papaver orientale 'Miss Piggy'     Height 30".  Blooms: May-June.  Zones 3-8.  Grabs attention in the garden with its mammoth double blooms with a touch of soft pink infused through the ruffled petals.  Center seedpod and surrounding are dark purple.

Penstemon mexicali 'Pikes Peak™ Purple'     Height 15".  Blooms: All Summer.  Zones 4-8.  Tubular violet-purple flowers with a whitish center that bloom all summer.  Narrow dark green foliage forms attractive mounds.  Does not tolerate wet soil during winter.  Prefers well-drained soil.

Penstemon 'Pretty Petticoat'     Height 24".  Blooms: Summer.  Zones 5-9.  Beautiful purple blooms with white throats.  Blooms for eight weeks in summer.  Easy to grow.  Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Rudbeckia 'Sonora'     Height 12-14".  Blooms: Mid-summer-Early Fall.  Zones 4-9.  Large 4-6" flowers have golden yellow petals radiating from a dark brown center.  Great cut flower.  Collector's item with distinctive yellow to mahogany colored cone.

Scabiosa 'Vivid Violet'     Height 15".  Blooms: All Summer.  Zones 4-9.  A scabiosa with excellent powdery mildew resistance.  Plants remain healthy and attractive throughout the entire growing season.
