Fall Container Gardening Ideas
We love fall mums, and grow thousands of them here on the farm, but they aren’t your only option for mixed containers.
Some other plants that are great for the fall include:
- Celosia
- Ornamental peppers
- Creeping jenny
- Coleus
- Ornamental kale or cabbage
- Pansies
- Ornamental grasses or millet
- Calibrachoa
- Verbena
- and more!
Plant a variety of these in the thriller-filler-spiller format, then add in a few gourds, cornstalk pieces, bittersweet vine branches, faux fall foliage floral sprays, or a scarecrow. Get creative and have fun with it!
