Garden in the Park Field Day 2015
Stop by the demonstration gardens at South Park, (intersection of Corrigan and McConkey streets), for the annual Field Day, hosted by the Penn State Master Gardeners of Allegheny County. The event takes place this Saturday, August 15, from 9:00am – 1:00pm. In addition to tours of the annual flower beds, there will be tastings, demos and expert advice.
Our own staff member, Eric Norman, will be presenting about Garden Pollinators in the Speaker’s Tent. Other presentations include Garden Diseases, Garden Tools, and Community Gardens.
Melanie has been with the family garden center business since 1999, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every aspect–from cashiering and greenhouse production to bookkeeping, perennial buying, marketing, and store management. Now serving as Finance and Marketing Director, she combines her expertise with a passion for growing the business. She and her husband, Russ, have loved seeing how plants, gardening, and beautiful landscapes bring joy to our community.
