A Wine Garden Built to Inspire

At Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse, our mission is nurturing growth—in plants, in people, and in beautiful spaces. This year, we brought that philosophy to life by creating a brand-new Wine Garden at our garden center in McDonald, PA. More than just a place to enjoy a glass of Passiflora Springs wine, the Wine Garden also serves as a showcase for our landscape design/build team’s hardscaping expertise.

From Vision to Reality

When our team began this project, the goal was simple: give wine its own home in the nursery, surrounded by plants, stonework, and the textures of nature. To make it happen, we cleared out two large rose beds, leveled the area, and began layering in both natural stone and premium hardscape materials.

The result? A welcoming outdoor space that blends function, beauty, and craftsmanship—perfect for gathering, relaxing, and drawing inspiration for your own backyard.

Hardscape Elements Featured

Our landscape team designed the Wine Garden to highlight a wide variety of hardscape styles, materials, and applications. Here are some of the features you’ll see:

• TECHO-BLOC Pavers – durable, stylish, and available in colors to match any home or garden.
• Natural Pennsylvania Bluestone – timeless, textural, and used both for patios and borders.
• Creative Border Solutions – concrete edging with a “railroad tie” look for straight lines, plus flexible stone edging to follow curved beds.
• Seating Walls & Pillars – functional and inviting, framing the space and offering natural gathering areas.
• Cobblestone Accents (Bellagio) – a unique cobble look that adds character and charm.
• Flower Beds & Trees – thoughtfully placed to soften the stonework, provide shade, and highlight the plants we grow.
