Bedner's Farm & Greenhouse

He’s been with Bedner’s for seven years, a Master Gardener since 2021, will take all the time in the world to help you grow, and missed qualifying for the 1972 U.S. Olympic Trials by just two seconds.

It’s nice to know the people behind the plants. Especially the ones who are generous about sharing their experience and expertise. This is one of many Bedner’s team members who loves plants and plant people and who makes the farm and garden center an even better place to be.

Meet Doug

Interests and hobbies? Gardening, running, fishing and spending time with my family.

Proudest accomplishment? Along with my wife, Joanne, raising three great kids who have given us six wonderful grandchildren and who all live within 20 minutes of us—a wonderful blessing.

Favorite game or sport to watch or play? Running in 5K races and watching Steelers football.

Anything else? I became a Penn State Extension Master Gardener in 2021 and have played drums in various church Praise Bands for 25+ years.
