Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse is located in Pennsylvania’s historic Washington County in the township of Cecil, which borders the township of South Fayette and boroughs of McDonald and Canonsburg. If you are planning a visit to the greenhouse, there are many “hidden gems” – sites for recreation, dining and more – to take advantage of as part of your visit to the area!

Farmer’s Market at McDonald Trail Station
Produce, prepared foods, treats and more. Antique vendors and craft vendors also intermittently involved. The market is every Saturday from 9am to 1pm, May through September, at McDonald Trail Station and Meeting House on South McDonald Street at the Montour Trail.
The Montour Trail & Panhandle Trail
The Montour Trail is 46 mile multi-use non-motorized recreational rail-trail which connects to the Great Allegheny Passage trail, ultimately linking the southwest of Pennsylvania to Washington DC. The trail is excellent for biking, hiking, running and birding. There is also a camp site near the Cecil section of the trail (near the greenhouse).The closest entrance to the Montour Trail is located off of route 50 at Cecil Park.
The Panhandle Trail is a 29-mile multi use non-motorized recreational rail-trail which begins in Collier Township and stretches into the West Virginia panhandle. Several events are held on the trail each year, including the annual Rock the Quarry event – a 2 day celebration with music, food and family activities.
