The Montour Trail & Panhandle Trail

The Montour Trail is 46 mile multi-use non-motorized recreational rail-trail which connects to the Great Allegheny Passage trail, ultimately linking the southwest of Pennsylvania to Washington DC. The trail is excellent for biking, hiking, running and birding. There is also a camp site near the Cecil section of the trail (near the greenhouse). The closest entrance to the Montour Trail is located off of route 50 at Cecil Park.

The Panhandle Trail is a 29-mile multi use non-motorized recreational rail-trail which begins in Collier Township and stretches into the West Virginia panhandle. Several events are held on the trail each year, including the annual Rock the Quarry event – a 2 day celebration with music, food and family activities.
