Join us for a class or workshop next week to celebrate Pollinator Week–
Plants for Pollinators – Thursday, June 21 at 6:00 pm. Looking to improve your garden’s habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators? This class profiles beautiful perennials, annuals, shrubs, and trees they especially adore and will help you learn which are best suited to your garden’s growing conditions. We’ll also discuss ways you can make your garden more enticing to pollinators and birds, and how to have your property certified as a wildlife habitat. Free; no registration required.
Martha Swiss is a garden writer and designer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a regular contributor to Pennsylvania Gardener Magazine and her articles have also appeared in The American Gardener, GROW (the magazine of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society), Fine Gardening, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and publications of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
Butterfly Woodcut Mosaic – Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 am. Create a unique piece of garden art. Using glass pieces, glue and paint, the instructor will guide you through designing a butterfly on top of a wood cut section. $25 per person. Click here to register.
