Pumpkin on a Stick
Pumpkin on a Stick! This unusual plant is grown all summer and then used fresh or dried in arrangements.
Can you guess what the little “pumpkins” really are?
The plant is actually an ornamental eggplant and the “pumpkins” are mini eggplants. The first of the chilly weather in the fall will change the fruits from green to orange. At that point you can remove all of the leaves and cut at the base of the stem to use fresh in arrangements. Enjoy them in a large vase all by themselves, or in a mixed arrangement. They can also be dried upside down with plenty of air circulation in a cool, dark location.
This unusual fall decoration is a real eye catcher!
