Thank You: Angel Tree 2022
Seniors in Canonsburg:
Thanks to your amazing generosity, we delivered Christmas gifts to forty-seven residents of a low-income, senior building in Canonsburg. Our staff carefully wrapped everything and made them look beautiful.
Here is what the Service Coordinator, Michele, had to say:
“Everyone was thrilled. The gift that was in the big box went to a lady who just moved in a few months ago and she was crying and said how thrilled she was and everything was perfect.
One of the men was thrilled about the Steeler things and said he was wearing his hat for the Steeler game and his hoodie for the next Penguin game.
Everyone that has a dog was so excited for the great things they got especially the one who got the dog bed.
The lady in the picture with the wreath with the red bow and blue bag and glasses and brown hair and a short sleeved shirt is turning 100 years old on the 27th of December!!! She loved her lottery tickets and robe.
“It is nice to know that people are so kind and caring.” was from one of the residents.
One of the ladies was thrilled with the travel items and stationary. She said it is a way for her to keep in touch with friends and family that live in Massachusetts.
And I will tell you the gifts are truly amazing. I worked at a different building years ago and they got gifts from a local place, and the gifts were no where near what these residents receive.
Thank you again for the wonder angel tree and all the effort that you put into it. It really does make their Christmas!!!”
