One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is getting to see the joy that plants, gardening and beautiful landscapes bring to you. I have always loved getting to know you and your stories and how the experience of loving nature and plants brings us all together.
Over the years, many of you have even invited me to your homes to see and enjoy your hard work. I recently shared about my visit to Tammy’s house and her love of fragrant plants and David Austin roses. Tammy inspires me, and I hope you enjoyed learning from her, too.
One of our Core Values is to Whistle While We Work, to cultivate passion and gratitude for what we do. It’s this spark that we see in each other when we’re doing what we love. The energy spreads and builds, and we inspire each other to try new things, to not give up and maybe even to see things in a new and different way.

Melanie has been with the family garden center business since 1999, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every aspect–from cashiering and greenhouse production to bookkeeping, perennial buying, marketing, and store management. Now serving as Finance and Marketing Director, she combines her expertise with a passion for growing the business. She and her husband, Russ, have loved seeing how plants, gardening, and beautiful landscapes bring joy to our community.
