Bedner's Farm & Greenhouse

Weekly News, 4.1.20

Dear Friends,

Welcome to our first weekly E-Newsletter for 2020! Our purpose and commitment to you is to provide you with some weekly inspiration to do those things that bring you rejuvenation. Each Wednesday we will send you our Recommendations for the week– “must-haves”, or our “hot list” of plants and products in the store. We will also be sharing a weekly family activity idea with you that we are doing with our girls, Hope and Ruth.

While we are not opening the garden center to visitors right now, we assure you that we are working hard behind the scenes to maintain and improve a brand new online ordering and Curbside Pick Up service. This is all new to us, so thanks in advance for your patience as we do our best to find ways to serve you in the safest way for everyone. We have 17 greenhouses brimming with plants, plus a nursery full of shrubs and trees, and we will be constantly working to improve how you can access them without being here to physically shop. Our current availabilities are listed on our website, and we’ll be posting future availabilities of all that is growing and will be ready in 4-6 weeks, including a very long list of fruit and vegetable starter plants.

Gardening and home landscaping have been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve mental health, reduce depression, and lower blood pressure. How cool is that!?!! And right now maybe many of us have some extra time to dig in the dirt and enjoy it. We encourage you to practice mindful gardening, staying in the present moment as you work outside. It’s not a race. It’s not a competition. There is no hurry or deadline to meet. Just relax and take it in, one week at a time, one section of the garden or landscape at a time.

We are here for you. It is our honor to be your local farmer, greenhouse grower, landscaper, and garden center. Thank you for your support!

Take care,
Russ and Melanie Bedner
