What do you do with a backyard hillside that's ready for a little more life? You turn it into a garden.

This Canonsburg backyard now has a natural boulder wall and plenty of plants for pollinators--all designed to work with the existing slope and bring beauty to the space throughout the seasons.

We love how this garden feels natural, colorful, and completely at home in its surroundings.

What would you plant on your hillside?

Meet No Dog Left Behind. Two best friends, both pilots, rescue shelter animals at risk of euthanasia and transport them by air and on land to no-kill shelters with space for them. The shelters pay nothing, with help from sponsors funding their transportation.

This past August, No Dog Left Behind hit an incredible milestone: 20,000 animals saved! Their passenger list has included dogs, cats, guinea pigs, sea turtles, and even one lost monarch butterfly.

We will be raising important funds for No Dog Left Behind during Paws on the Farm Week from Oct. 12–17, 2026. Here are two ways you can help:

➡️ Visit Bedner’s with your 4-legged best friend during Paws on the Farm Week! We’ll be donating $1 for every dog that visits from Oct. 12-17.

➡️ Donate online at our link in bio. Bedner’s will match every donation dollar for dollar, up to $500 (make sure to mention “Bedner’s” in the donation notes)

➡️ Make donations at Bedner’s on Saturday, October 17 at our Paws on the Farm event from 11:00AM - 3:00PM! Get a professional pet / family photo taken with every donation made to No Dog Left Behind.

Stay for our Pet Costume Parade at 1:00PM and shop 15+ local vendors while enjoying live music, food trucks, The Roaming Bean coffee, Passiflora Springs wine and Headley’s Brewing beers.
